I had an update from Windows on the 12th and now when I play Realplayer videos I have no audio. It was working great before. i tried reset and a reboot and the speakers worked on the windows sounds, but then nothing. any Ideas?”

I know how frustrating it is when something goes wrong with your machine, and then after you get it fixed, something else has stopped working. Fortunately, there’s a fairly easy fix for this. It involves removing and reinstalling your Real player.
The first step is to remove your existing Real player application. First you click on START and then on CONTROL PANEL.
Once your control panel is open, click on ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS.
Find Real player on the list, and then click UNINSTALL.
Once the uninstall is complete, go to the Real player website, real.com, and click on the DOWNLOAD link.
That should get your Real player working again.
Alternately, you can follow this link http://player.gomlab.com/eng/download/ and download my favorite video player, Gom. Once you download and install Gom, right-click on the Real video that you want to open and choose OPEN WITH and then GOM PLAYER.
If Gom is not listed on the screen, click on CHOOSE DEFAULT PROGRAM, find Gom player and click on it. Once Gom opens, it will prompt you to download the Real codec. Once you do that, your videos should play fine in Gom.
