I have a problem with Yahoo. It seems that it changed my e mail from my home computer to mobile cell phone. I notified them and they sent me a whole bunch of things to try but did not address the problem. on one side there is a string of commands that do not work as with what you get with a cell phone E-mail fashion. they completely made my home computer useless with that sight. I have an HP with windows 8. I also have no advertisements, usually sites badger you with that, also the picture on my messenger is not even me. Thank you for your help.

John it sounds like your home computer is displaying the mobile site instead of the full site.  Yahoo! probably hasn’t done anything to your computer.  Somewhere along the line, your browser may have stored a cookie redirecting you to a mobile site when you log on. It could be because a link you clicked on was directed to a mobile site. No matter what caused the issue,  you’ll want to clear out your cache.

To clear cookies in Internet Explorer

For Internet Explorer press CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE simultaneously.  You’ll get the window below.  I’d suggest deleting Preserving Favorites Data and deleting Temporary Internet files, Cookies and website data and History.

For Google Chrome: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously. You’ll get the window below.  Check Empty the cache then select Clear Browsing Data, Cookies and website date and history. I would also suggest unchecking Preserve Favorites as Yahoo is most likely among your favorites.

For Firefox, also simultaneously press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL. You’ll see the window below.  Check the items you wish to clear and click Clear Now.

Hopefully this will clear up your display issues.
