Google Unveils KitKat

Google has finally made the official announcement of their new operating system Android 4.4 KitKat.  According to the tech giant, the newest version Android has major improvements to the phone app and will allow you search contacts, nearby places and Google Apps accounts for phone numbers.  There’s also a new launcher that’s following the trend of lighter colors and a sparser look for the controls.

Messaging has also been merged with Google Hangouts, combining messages from both in one place. There have also been some changes to the system that should allow it run smoothly on devices with smaller available memory.

Don’t Blame The Cat, Blame Dell

Tech Support At Dell responded to numerous complaints that the Dell Latitude E6430u smells like a kitty has been using it as a back-up litter box by assuring customers that the scent is not-feline related.

“As mentioned before, the issue was fully investigated and Dell has determined that the smell is not at all related to cat urine or any biological contaminate. Further testing revealed that there is no health hazard related to the smell.

The issue has been corrected on new units currently being ordered. We are currently finalizing plans for a full resolution for those who still have unit that exhibits the issue. I am hoping to post a root cause and resolution either this week or the next and am just waiting on engineering to finalize a few details.”

So if your new computer smells like Fluffy has been very, very bad – blame Dell.

  1. I got the Dell Latitude E6430u right now writing this from it but got no smell as mentioned above at all. My friends and all also smelled nothing as mentioned by the people at all. Sorry folks if you smell Dell Latitude E6430u.I love Dell and trust the Dell and Apple as using from so many years. Spray an air freshener if you ant one time ha ha .

  2. I’m appalled that Dell would not know the correct usage for smell and odor. Appears as if they are reticent to use the word “stink.” I’ve, yet, to see a computer with a nose.
