Learn the Address

This is a really neat project inspired by the 150th Anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. Created by a documentarian named Ken Burns (and partners), the project aspires to get every American to submit a video of themselves reading the Gettysburg Address. The project will continue to grow as people submit videos.

Navigation is remarkably easy. Just scroll down the page and click on the videos you want to watch. As you scroll you’ll notice that there are some squares that have pieces of Gettysburg Address trivia on them.

To learn more about this project, click About this Project at the top of the page. This section was full of interesting ideas and facts about the project and its goals.

Want to submit your video? Well then click Share Your Gettysburg Address where you’ll get instructions on how to do so, and be able to download a version of the address to recite.

There are more videos to be found in the Video Gallery, and you have search options. You can choose to browse by Alphabetical, By State, or By Most Recent.  I really loved the videos of the 8th grade classes who took the challenge!

What are you waiting for? Go check this project out today!
