Social Fixer: Fix Your Facebook Feed

A reader submitted this site as another way to manage Facebook after the last site I suggested. I’m so annoyed by the way my feed explodes with so called News (really advertisements) and Suggested Posts (more advertisements) and I can’t see any of my friend’s and family’s posts.

Social Fixer wants to help you take back control of  your Facebook feed. I’d suggest that you start browsing the site in the Features category so you can see what all Social Fixer can do for you.  The About section tells you about the creator of the site, and why it’s his pet project. And the FAQ will help you get answers to any questions you have.

If you’re ready to take the plunge and give Social Fixer a try, you can either click the Download button and install from there, or you can click install on the main page.  It’s available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and GreaseMonkey. It is not supported for IE at the moment.

I downloaded it for Chrome. (If you’re already on Facebook, you’ll need to close the tab/window, and reopen Facebook). It will load up with Facebook, and ask what settings you want Recommended or Minimal. You can change these setting at any time by clicking the Wrench button near the top of the page.

So far I’m really liking it. I really love, love, love that there’s a separate feed for game posts.  Check it out for yourself today!
