Amazon Fire TV Screensaver Hogs Data
A bug with the screensaver in Amazon’s Fire TV caused excessive data use for some consumers. One of them found that it was eating up 80 GB a day. Amazon says the issue is the mosaic screensaver and that they were working on an update to take care of the issue. Until then, they suggested that users turn off the feature.

Microsoft Goes On The Offense Against Malware
Microsoft is taking legal action against to people they say have played roles in creating and distributing malware that’s affected millions of computers. They filed a civil case against Mohamed Benabdellah and Naser Al Mutairi along with a company called Vitalwerks Internet Solutions.
They say the say the two are media-savvy cybercriminals who have promoted their wares across the Internet and infected millions of computers. The company says it will continue this strategy of going after the people responsible for malware.
eBooks Sales Grow 43%
eBooks are giving physical copies a run for their money with a growth of 43% in sales. Those numbers only include volumes with ISBN numbers, so when you add in self-published books, you’ll find even more growth.

Online and eBook sales surpassed sales at brick and mortar book stores. There were an estimated 7.54 billion in online orders and $7.12 billion from physical retail.
