Make A Greeting Card With BeFunky

Recently I wanted to print off a greeting card. That’s when I realized that my old greeting card program wasn’t on my new Windows 8.1 computer and wouldn’t even work on it anyway. So I needed to find something in a hurry. Then I remembered BeFunky, the free online editing program.  If you aren’t familiar with BeFunky, check out this article  and these additional articles.

First, let’s head over to to BeFunky.com and choose Collage Maker.

Choose Templates.

Scroll down to see the card templates. You aren’t going to have the wide variety of choices that you see in a dedicated card program, but this should do in a pinch.

Let’s select a Christmas Card

Click the Photos icon and choose Add Photos to select any photos or images you want to add to the card.

Then select a photo from your computer.

Then choose your photos from the Add Photos section.

Click and drag the image to place it in the card.

Now that I have the images placed I can think about other effects.

Clicking the adjustment icon allows you to adjust the size  of the card.

The Text Icon is where you can type your message. There’s a choice between BeFunky fonts or the fonts on your computer.

An adjustment window will let you make changes to your text.

Type in the text box to add our message. You can adjust the size and angle of the text by clicking on the handles of the text box.

Click the Box icon to add stickers and other images to your card. Here I’ve chosen the Winter Holiday section.

I can choose snowflakes and other appropriate images and just drag them over to the card and position them where I want them.

I could even put a hat on a cat by clicking, dragging and dropping in place.

When you are satisfied with your image you can choose to Print or Save it. If you choose save, you’ll have the option of saving to your computer or to Social media or your Flickr photo account.
