Make Your Searches Simpler With Natural Language Search

Here’s an easy way to make searches a bit simpler in Windows 7. You’ve probably heard of so-called “personal assistants” like Siri or Cortana that use natural language search to help you find things on your device. Well, Windows 7 has a similar feature already built it. Here’s how access it:  Go to the Start Button  and select Control Panel.

 

Then Choose Appearance and Personalization.

Then choose Folder Options

Click the search tab and check Choose Natural Language Search and click OK.

The advantage to natural language search is that it will often find more results on a search that using traditional search parameters. You can type in search like “e-mail today” or “vacation pictures.” The disadvantage is that you might also get more results that you wanted. But it is certainly a feature worth giving a test drive to see if it works for you.
