How Can I Delete Cloud Access?

In reading your answer this morning about using the cloud for storage, I would like to know how to delete this service. I have Windows 7, desktop.

I will assume you have downloaded and installed the OneDrive app on your computer. Otherwise, if you don’t want to use cloud storage, just don’t access the services.

If you have OneDrive installed on your Windows 7 computer, you can remove it the app by typing uninstall a program in the search box and clicking on the result.

uninstallsearch

Type OneDrive in the search box in the upper right of the Uninstall or Change a program window.

uninstallorchange

Select OneDrive from the results and then click Uninstall.

uninstallonedrive

The OneDrive app will be gone, but you will still have cloud access through your browser. If you have a Microsoft account, you have OneDrive storage space whether you use it or not. But, of course, you are not obligated to use it.

Another option would be just not to use the cloud storage if you don’t like it, but keep it there in case you need it for something like transferring large files that are to large for e-mail.  Even without an app, you can still utilize cloud storage services via your web browser, should you ever need them.
