The Paper Notebook That Uploads To The Cloud

This may be one of the coolest ideas, I have ever seen.  Developers have raised over $200,000 (10 times their goal) to manufacture a paper notebook that will upload automatically to the cloud and can also be erased by popping it in the microwave!

If you’re like me and still like to write out notes instead of typing sometimes, you’ll love this idea. It’s called Rocketbook and works by combining a notebook with an app on your phone. The notebook looks like a typical 8 1/2″ by 11″ model and has 100 pages.

At the bottom of each page are icons that you assign to folders inside Dropbox, Evernote, Google Docs or an e-mail address. You mark that icon at the bottom of the page and your notes will be sent to the right folder in the cloud.

You open the app and hold your phone over the open notebook. The app will automatically capture the pages, there’s no need to click a button. And it will keep capturing the information as you flip the pages.

According to the developers, you can erase the notebook, simply by popping it in the microwave and start all over again as long as you use their special FixXon pens.

The app will also allow you to scan in non-Rocketbook pages, but not automatically as with pages from the special Rocketbook notebook.

You can pre-order one for $25 by contributing to their IndieGogo crowd-funding effort or wait until summer when the developers expect to have the product available. The app will be available for both Android and iOS.

  1. Lovely idea. I like how people can come up with such useful ideas while others are just sitting waiting for food stumps

  2. Can’t find the Rocketbook Notebook at IndieGogo fund raising site , Need a direct Link to it. Thank You
