Fake Apple Watches Hit The Market

A $400 Apple Watch for about $40? Sounds legit to me.  Cheap knock-offs  of the highly anticipated Apple Watch are already cropping up on Chinese websites.  Check out this model.

Here’s a look at the real thing.

This model, called a D-Watch looks more like a digital watch I might have owned as a kid back in the early 1980s.

But I hear it pairs beautifully with a fake iPhone.

The one below is definitely a fake Apple Watch.

All joking aside, if you see an Apple Watch for anything less than the minimum $349 price, you can pretty much count on it being a fake or a scam. Even if you end up with a physical watch in hand, it won’t have the features you want and it won’t work with your iPhone.

More importantly, fake iPhones and iPhone accessories can be dangerous. They’ve been known to explode. Someone who doesn’t mind ripping off a phone, probably isn’t going to worry about the safety of the battery.  Whether someone is selling it to you online or out of the back of a truck, do yourself a favor. Pay the hefty Apple Watch price or buy yourself something else nice with your money. Don’t go for the fakes.
