The New York Times Crossword Puzzle app has more than 9,000 puzzles, nearly 20 years worth of crosswords from the New York Times.
Now, you can try out free unlimited access for 7 days. After that, you can either choose to subscribe to the New York Times crossword to continue unlimited access or be limited to playing the mini puzzle in the app. The subscription is $6.95 for a month or $39.95 for a full year.
Select the Windows Store icon to open the store.
Then search for the New York Times Crossword.
Just click the Free button to install. Remember access is free for 7 days, but after that, full access does require a subscription.
You can choose between the puzzle of the day or play the mini puzzle. You’ll still be able to play the mini puzzle for free even if you don’t subscribe after a week.
You can access 20 years worth of crossword puzzles from the archives.
You can input the answers via keyboard, an onscreen keyboard, or if you have a Surface tablet, you can use the pen to actually write in the answers.
Although, the New Work Times puzzles are considered some of the best out there, you’ll also fine a whole lot of other crossword games in the Windows store. Many of them completely free. Just search Crosswords in Windows store and check out the results.
