Coffee lovers may want to sit down for a minute. A new refrigerator from GE will make some highly-caffeinated dreams come true.
Forget dispensing water, the GE Cafe Series refrigerator dispenses hot coffee thanks to a built-in Keurig coffee maker in the door.
Right now, it’s only available at Lowe’s, but it will be available at some independent appliance dealers later in the month. With this new model, you’ll be able to brew coffee, tea or any hot K-Cup beverage using pods designed for the coffee maker.
The refrigerator will supply the hot water.
Lowe’s VP Craig Webber said, “We are excited to be able to offer our customers the convenience of brewing Keurig K-Cups using filtered water directly from their GE Café refrigerator.”
Better yet, users can set a brew time using an app on their smart phone. And the hot water isn’t just for coffee. You can also dispense it for other purposes and schedule when that water is heated and ready for use.
Showcase LED lights are also positioned throughout the refrigerator, including the freezer and the vegetable drawer to make it easy to find items that you need.
This doesn’t come cheap. This refrigerator will cost almost $3000.
