Mario Goes Mobile

Fans of Nintendo’s Mario characters have reason to be happy. The company has announced that it will be releasing smartphone apps featuring popular Nintendo characters this year with more games coming in 2017.

Considering that the company was a pioneer in gaming, they’ve lagged behind in the mobile arena. Nintendo is also expected to release a new gaming console called the Nintendo NX later in 2016 to replace the Wii U.

Alexa Will Read Kindle Books To You

Amazon’s personal home assistant Alexa will now read your Kindle eBook purchases aloud to you.  If you have the Amazon Echo smart home hub in your home, you can simply ask Alexa to read the book to you.

Top Malware Cities Revealed

The security experts at Enigma Software have released their list of the most malware-riddled cities in the U.S. and it looks like Florida is getting hit pretty hard. Tampa and Orlando come is first and third respectively for the number of Malware infections. St.Louis is in second place. The infection rate in Tampa is five times the average Malware infection rate. Ohio’s not doing so good either, with two cities in the top 10.

The biggest jump in infections was in Buffalo, which jumped from #47 in the U.S. to #18.  The top causes for infection? Visiting adult and pirated video sites and people being misled into clicking on links for malicious sites. The Top 10 infected cities are:

  • (3) St. Louis 392% higher than the national average
  • (2) Orlando 375% higher than the national average
  • (6) Denver 333% higher than the national average
  • (4) Atlanta 327% higher than the national average
  • (7) Newark 241% higher than the national average
  • (5) Salt Lake City 223% higher than the national average
  • (8) Madison, Wisconsin 193% higher than the national average
  • (9) Cleveland 184% higher than the national average
  • (10) Cincinnati 170% higher than the national average
