Reword is a powerful browser application that aims to help prevent online bullying by identifying impulsive insulting statements and highlighting them with a red line to make you aware of what you’re typing.

Right now, this application is only available for Google Chrome, but they’re looking to roll it out for Firefox and Safari soon. After that they’ll tackle mobile devices.

When you arrive at the site I suggest watching the videos by clicking Watch Stories, then you should try scrolling down the page to learn more about the application. You can also try out the tool on the webpage.

Checking out the navigation options on the left side of the screen offers you information on Bullying with The Problem button, and the Get Help button offers support to those being bullied. The Get Involved button allows you to take the pledge to fight online bullying and rewording your profile picture on Facebook to show your support.

While visiting the site, you may want to check out the FAQ. It explains more about the tool and answers general questions.

I think this is a really helpful tool for people who have kids that use the internet. It will help call out hurtful language and bring it to their attention.

Go check it out for yourself today!
