Customize Windows 7 Shut-Down Button

Did you know that you can make changes to the Windows 7 Shut Down Button? The default action is to turn the power off, but if you would prefer another action like switching users or going to sleep, you can make the change. Click the Start Button and then right-click on the power button and choose Properties.

Click the arrow next to Power Button Action and choose your  desired action from the drop-down menu. Don’t forget to click OK.

Now when you click the power button, you’ll see your chosen action as the default option.
