UI Temple offers an exciting array of website designs to help inspire you when you are developing and designing your own website.
What they’ve done is curated a gallery of sites that have interesting designs that can help you give you a reference for what you want to build.
On the main page, you’ll see the Most Recent additions or you can switch it to Random. Along the top of the page, you can use the Categories button to open a drop-down menu that allows you to browse by Industry, Page, Type, or Color.
Industry arranges the websites by Subject. For example, Arts & Crafts, Gaming, Social Media, and Technology to name a few.
Page arranges the websites by what part of the website you’re looking to design. For example, landing, pricing, and sign up pages.
Type arranges the websites by broader types. For example, Blog, Event, and Portfolio.
And last but not least is Color. Here you’ll browse by the dominating color of the website. For example, Orange, Teal, White, etc.
Once you’ve clicked into one of the websites, you’ll see a button that allows you to visit the site. Then an example of what the page looks like, what it is categorized under, and then comments (if there have been any left).
So how can you use this? They’re not templates. Meaning there’s nothing you can download and edit. Think of it more like a gallery, where they offer you a wide array of different website styles that you can use to make decisions about the look and feel of the website you are creating.
For example, this summer I created a website for one of the student organizations I belong to, and I browsed this site to get a feel for what I really liked and disliked about different page designs.
