Yahoo has turned off a very handy feature for those in the process of changing mail accounts. The company had turned off the ability to automatically forward your email to another email account.

If you’re already using the feature, it won’t be affected. But users won’t be able to enable it. According to Yahoo, “This feature is under development. While we work to improve it, we’ve temporarily disabled the ability to turn on Mail Forwarding for new forwarding addresses.”
This comes after the revelation that Yahoo scanned hundreds of millions of emails for the government. So, if you were fired up by that disclosure and thinking of switching email companies, you won’t be able to forward those Yahoo messages to another account until folks get used to your new email address.

That if you were planning on forwarding after changing your address, you don’t have that safety net of things sent to your old address being forwarded to your new one.
