If you use Google’s Chrome browser, you’ve got to check out this browser extension Smartshot. I was looking for something that would allow me to screenshot a whole page and not just the portion I was viewing so I could document the changes I was making to Library Resource Guide for my practicum when I found this and saw how cool it was, I wanted to share it with you.
Smartshot is a cool extension that lets you easily create screenshots and upload them with one click to share with your friends, save to your Google Drive or Imgur.
When you arrive at the site, all you have to do to navigate is scroll down the page. You’ll see a series of images that give you a basic rundown of how it works. Then all you have to do is click the Add to Chrome button to install it as a browser extension.
Once you’ve installed the extension, you’ll see its icon in the top right of your browser, when you click that icon it will give you a list of actions to choose from. They are capture the visible part of the page, capture the entire page, capture selected area, delayed capture, capture desktop, and select a local image.
Then it will let you save it to your local disk, imgur, or Google Drive. It’s just that easy!
Go check it out for yourself today!
