I get a lot of questions from people looking for a free word processor. I’ve told you before about both Microsoft’s Office Online and Google Drive’s suite of office programs. But they certainly aren’t the only options available.
Today, we’re taking a look a Zoho Writer. This free online word processing program is simple to use. Click here to here to head over to their web site. Then click Start Writing.
Just enter your email to sign up. Or you can log in with social media. You’ll have to respond to a confirmation email and pick a password.
Then you are ready to write. The interface is very clean.
To name your document, just clck on Untitled Document on the upper-left.
Just click on the blank page to start writing.
Click the menu button at the top-left.
You’ll get a menu that allows you to choose your fonts and paragraph styles.
Click File in the upper-left to see options for saving, downloading, and printing.
To open a document, click Open. Zoho writer will open .doc, .docx, .html, .htm, .odt, .rtf, and .txt files. You can export to all of those formats as well.
You can log on to Zoho writer from any browser or any PC.
