Welcome to Google Fonts! This is an initiative to bring a robust set of open fonts to increase the potential for good design across the web.
When you arrive at the site, you’ll find a page full of fonts. What I really like is that you can type on any of the font tiles and see how the font will look for what you want to say. You can also then apply your phrase across all the fonts. Then all you have to do is scroll down the page and find the font that best suits your design needs.
Once you find a font that meets your needs, you have several options for how you’ll use it. I suggest starting by clicking the red + in the top right corner of the font tile. This will add it to a tray at the bottom of the page. Click on the tray and you’ll see that you have options for embedding the font in your HTML code or the CSS code for your style sheet. You also have the option to customize the font if you click Customize. This lets you select the style of the font (bold, italic, and font weight) for your embed. You can also use the red down arrow in the tray to download the file and install in on your local system.
This is a really great collection of open fonts! Check it out today!

Hello: I use Mozilla Thunderbird for all my e-mails and I use g-mail…No matter what font I use to send my messages the font comes out the same on the other end as it always does…no change at all. One year I downloaded some really fancy Halloween fonts and they never got through to the other end…the message came out with the same font as always…Also colors do not work either. When I used to have Outlook Express I could send anything…even music. But after Microsoft got so greedy I had to give up my Outlook Express. Help.
