Have you ever wondered what you would find at bookstore in the past? I certainly have from time to time. This site allows you to explore the contents of an early 17th-Century bookseller that has been recreated from the owner’s will and inventory lists.

When you arrive at the site, you’ll find an introduction that offers advice for where you can get started on the site. The main page also includes a Featured Item, Featured Collection, and Featured Exhibit. In addition to the featured content, you’ll also find a selection of recently added items, and a brief About the Project blurb.

I started my visit by checking out the Featured Item – A New Herbal, or History of Plants – and definitely recommend taking a look at it. No matter where you start, once you’re on an item’s landing page, if you click the image it will enlarge it so you can see all the fine details. You can also use the Next Item button near the bottom of the page to travel to the next item in the collection.

This is an interesting assortment of books and maps. I hope you’ll go check it out today!
