Did you know that your Mac comes with a great, free image editor that can do many of the same things that programs like Photoshop do? It’s simply called Preview. To use, just  double-click on the image you wish to open. You’ll see this screen first.

Click the icon that looks like a marker on the right side.

You’ll see a wide array of options for editing your image.

You can choose different shapes for your selection tool. There are even magic wand and instant alpha options.

You can add various shapes and text.

Or even create your own signature with a trackpad.

You’ll find some pretty sophisticated options for adjusting the image.

There are also options for drawing on the images and customizing your text.
