Tackling a pesky script error

A reader is facing a pesky error message that won’t go away.

“I have the error message that follows (and have for sometime) that pops
up on the screen every minute of two that is most annoying, perhaps you can help me get rid of it.”

She included the screenshot below:

It sounds like you may have an issue with Internet Explorer. The simplest method would be to reset the program. Open Internet Explorer and then click the gear icon at the top right. Select Internet Options from the drop-down menu.

Then click the Advanced tab. Then choose Reset followed by OK. This will send all of your settings on IE back to their original state.

If you’d prefer not to reset IE, you could try the steps below first. Click the Security tab instead of Advanced. If your security level is set to High, if could be blocking certain scripts. Try clicking on Default level.

The changes will take effect when you restart the browser.

Another option is to disable script debugging. Click on the Advanced Tab again, scroll down to Browsing, and clear the checkmark next to Display a notification about every script error. Then hit OK.

Let me know if any of these methods work for you.
