I don’t know if it’s because I grew up as the internet grew up, but I literally don’t buy anything without checking to see if there are reviews on the product. Whether that means hitting up Amazon and seeing if it is on there or looking for specialized review sites, if I’m going to buy something, I want to read reviews!
One case where this is particularly true is with shoes. I have very bad tendonitis, so I need shoes that are not only well-crafted but also offer the support I need to keep my feet and legs happy. I need both a new pair of athletic shoes so I’ve been looking at a lot of reviews, but while I was doing that I stumbled upon RunRepeat.
This site is dedicated to reviewing athletic shoes and has reviews in the following categories: running, sneakers, hiking training, basketball, and football. You can also do a search where you pick the men/women’s, size, and type of shoe you’re looking for. Once the search loads, you can filter your results further by using the options on the left side of the page (brands, color, collection, inspiration, top, collaboration, corescore, price, discount, number of reviews, and features).
Once you’ve selected a shoe to view, you’ll find a summary (including how many hours were spent reading reviews to come up with that information), reasons to buy, reasons not to buy, the bottom line, rankings, and expert reviews. On some shoes you’ll even find videos of unboxing! In addition to all that, some shoes offer brand histories and a comparison tool!
If you’re looking to buy new athletic shoes, I highly recommend checking this site out!
