Once you have an Instagram account set up, you’ll want to start following other users to fill up your feed with content.
When you first activate your account, Instagram will offer to help you find people to follow using your current contacts.
You can also find people to follow by tapping on the icon for your profile at the bottom right.
Then tap on the three-line menu icon.
Choose Discover People from the menu.
You’ll receive suggestions of people to follow. Choose Connect Contacts to see suggestions of people you already know or check out the suggestions Instagram makes based on people who know your friends or who line up with your interests.
Or if you want to look for people or products you already know, tap the magnifying glass at the bottom.
Then type in the name of who or what you’re looking for.
Tap on the result to see the profile. To follow an account just tap on the Follow button. Some accounts are private and you’ll have to be approved to follow.
