To clean it up in a hurry, I’m going to right-click on a blank spot on the desktop. Then choose Use stacks from the menu that pops up.
Boom! My desktop is instantly neat.
All of my screenshots are sorted into one stack.
Since I only had one type of file on my desktop, there’s only one stack. But if I had other types of files like documents or spreadsheets, they’d get their own stack as well. Just click on a stack to see all the files displayed on your desktop.
You can sort your stacks by kind, dates, or tags.
