If you’re having problems with the sound on your computer after a Windows update, the issue could be your sound card or device drivers. Start by typing device manager into your search box. Click on the result.
When Device Manager opens, scroll down to Sound, video, and game controllers.
Click the arrow to see a list of devices.
Right-click on a device to see a menu. Choose Update driver.
Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
You’ll be told if there’s an update available or if the best drivers for your device are already installed.
