We’ve been talking a lot about free streaming services lately and I’ve got another great one to tell you about today. It’s called Crackle.
Crackle is a free, ad-supported service that offers thousands of TV shows and movies. You can watch on a computer with a browser or with an app on your Smartphone or tablet. Crackle is also available on Samsung, LG, and Vizio Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV streaming sticks and boxes, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, as well as Playstation and Xbox game consoles.
Today, I’ll show you how to use it with a browser on your computer. Start by heading over to Crackle.com.
At the top you’ll find a Spotlight channel featuring some of the available programming.
Scroll down to see categories like Movies, Comedies, Actions, Thriller, and specialized categories like Will Smith or Holidays that change periodically.
At the top, you can search for a program or choose the TV or Movies tab.
Within the TV and Movies categories, you can sort either by genre or view in alphabetical order.
Hover over a movie to learn more about it. You can press the Play icon to start watching or the + icon to add it to your watch list for later. To save for later, you will need to create a free Crackle account. Press Play on a movie to start watching.
For TV shows, you’ll see an option to click to see additional episodes at the bottom of your viewing windows.
You’ll find everything from classic shows dating back to the sixties to brand-new Crackle originals. I’m thinking it may be time to rewatch every episode of Bewitched.
Check it out and let me know what you think.
