Silent Film Era

Welcome to the Museum of the Moving Image’s exhibit on the Silent Film Era. You’ll find over 5,000 artifacts in their collection that date between 1894 to 1931.

When you arrive at the site, I suggest reading the introductory text and then clicking the Read More about the Silent Film Era link. This will give you interesting background information on the museum’s collection holdings. Did you know that 80% of Silent Films are no longer in existence?
