Save Multiple Google Photos

Last week, I showed you how to download and save images from Google Photos. (Click here to read that article.)

Since then, I’ve heard from readers who wanted to know if you can save multiple photos at a time. The good news is that you can. It’s also pretty easy. Let me show you how.

Start by opening Google Photos in a browser.

Select the photos you wish to download by clicking in the upper-left corner of the image.

Put a check next to each photo you wish to save.

You can select all of the photos from a date by ticking the button next to the date.

Then, go to the upper right corner of the page and click the three-dot icon.

Select Download from the drop-down menu.

A Zip file will be downloaded to your Downloads file.

On a Windows PC, click on the folder and the Extract tab will appear at the top of File Explorer.

Click on Extract all.

Click on Browse to choose where you want the extracted files to be saved.

Pick a spot. I suggest creating a folder in your Pictures library. Then click on Extract.

The images will be saved to your destination.
