Convert Word Doc to PDF or HTML

If you need to convert a Word Document to a PDF file or an HTML file to use for a web page, it really couldn’t be easier. In fact, this easy conversion is one of my favorite things about Word.

Start by opening the document.

Then click on File at the top.

Choose Save a Copy.

The default file type is .docx. Click the arrow in the box to see other options.

Choose PDF.

Then hit Save.

It might take a minute or so for a large document, but you will end up with a PDF. I’ve never had an issues with the conversion either.

To save in html, choose Web Page as your saving option.

The file will save n the html format.

  1. If you use the free version of Foxit Reader as your default, you can go to “Print” from the Docx file and print then Foxit printer and save and the conversion is done. In Foxit Reader you can also get signatures (touch screen) for forms.

  2. Not being that literate when it comes to computer terms, what’s the difference between converting a word document to PDF or html?
