Coming up with strong passwords can be quite a challenge. Experts say you’re not supposed to use the same one twice and it’s important that passwords be long and not easy to guess.
Google Chrome has a handy tool that will automatically generate a complex, unique password when a website asks for one. Here’s how to make sure that feature is turned on.
In a browser, click your profile at the top right of the screen. Make sure the Sync is set to On.
On your phone, open Chrome and tap the three-dot menu icon at the top right of the screen.
Choose Settings from the drop-down menu.
Scroll down and make sure that Sync is turned on.
When you are asked to create a password for a new account, just tap in the box. You’ll get an option to create a strong password.
You also get the option when you’re changing an existing password.
If you like the password, just tap or click on Use password.
