We’ve already gone over a lot of the basics. Today, we’ll tackle important options like how to save and how to print.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is pages-screen.jpg

To access those options look at the very top of your computer screen, next to the Apple. You’ll see that it says Pages. For new Mac users, this is often confusing because it appears to be outside of the app you’re using.

Next, Let’s click on File at the top of the screen. From here, you can open, save, and rename files.

You can also export documents as PDFs, Word, text files, and more.

If you’d like to secure your document, you can set a password.

Enter the password and a password hint.

Right at the bottom of the menu, you’ll find the print option.

Next, we’ll look at the Edit options. From here you can cut, copy, and paste. You can also do spelling and grammar check and use the dictation feature to type with your voice.

We’ll take a look at more features of this program in future articles.
