If you’d like to read Kindle books from Amazon but don’t have an eReader or phone (or you just prefer reading on a computer), you can download and install the Kindle App for PC or Mac.
Let me show you how to do it.
Start by opening a browser and following this link: https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Digital-Services-LLC-Download/dp/B00UB76290
This page will open:
Choose between Kindle for PC or Kindle for Mac.
Add the app to your Amazon Cart.
Even though you have to add to the cart and check out, there is no charge for the app.
Once the order is complete, you’ll receive an email with a link to your download.
When you follow the link, you can click to download.
Once the download is complete, go to your Downloads folder and click to begin installation.
Follow the instructions for the installation wizard.
In just a few minutes, the app should finish installing.
