Here’s a neat trick to try with your Android phone.
Ever hear a song playing in a TV show or movie and wonder what it was? Or maybe it’s a song on the radio? Did you know that your Google assistant can almost instantly identify a song from radio or TV?
The music must be loud enough for it to hear, but I’ve never had an issue with my phone picking up a song on a TV from across the room.
Tap the microphone on your Google Assistant.
When you phone hears the music, it will ask if you want to ID music. Tap What’s this song?
You can also say, “Google, what’s this song?”
Your phone will listen to the tune for a few seconds.
Most of the time, it’ll come up with the answer. I’ve gotten good results with everything from rock to classical to country to gospel.
