Change Your View in File Explorer

By default, when you open File Explorer in Windows 10, it opens on the Quick Access view. (Click here to learn about Quick Access.)

To see the This PC view, you’ll need to scroll down.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is quick-access.jpg

However, you can change your File Explorer settings to automatically open to This PC. Click the View tab at the top of the page.

At the far right, choose Options.

When the Folder options menu opens, click the General tab. Then click the drop-down arrow in the box next to Open File Explorer to:

Choose This PC from the drop-down menu.

Then click OK.

File Explorer will now automatically open to This PC.
