A reader wants to know if she can upgrade to Windows 10 using an installation disc she created a few years ago.
“When Windows 10 first came out I made a copy of it on my flash drive, my question to you is can I use that one or do I have to use a different one.”
It should work without a problem, there have been some pretty big changes to Windows 10 in the years since it came out. Microsoft has switched from putting out a new operating system every couple of years to doing two major free upgrades yearly to Windows 10.
The Windows 10 you have on that drive is different from the one in use now and would probably require a lot of time upgrading. If you have access to download the installation media again, I’d suggest doing it.
