Microsoft Lens

If you haven’t checked out Microsoft Lens, you’re missing out on a great scanner app from a trusted source.

I’m sure many of you remember back when you needed specialized software and equipment to scan documents. Now, you can do it with your smartphone.

This free app is available for both iPhone and Android smartphones. Just head to the app store for your phone and search for Microsoft Lens.

Lens allows you to scan documents, business cards, and white boards.

The app’s optical character recognition capabilities can turn handwriting into text in a flash.

It can convert images to PDFs, Word documents, or PowerPoint files and save them to OneNote, OneDrive, or your device. It also allows you to import images already on your phone.

Microsoft is upgrading the scanning capabilities to allow users to scan up to 100 pages as images or PDFs and to make it easier to switch between your device and the cloud.

When you scan an image, you’ll have the choice to save it as text, a table, or in your contacts. You can take a photo of a business card and add it directly to your contacts.

  1. The above story has this paragraph: “Microsoft is upgrading the scanning capabilities to allow users to scan up to 100 pages as images or PDFs and to make it easier to switch between your device and the cloud”

Just how do I even get stuff into the Cloud? And or then get it out? How can I see what I’ve got in the Cloud if I ever find out how to put stuff in there?

If anyone knows, Cyn, it’s you!
