The Chrome browser offers built-in protection against pop-ups but there can be cases where it stops you from seeing something you want to see. Or perhaps you’ve accidentally turned off your pop-up protection.
Let’s look at how to control those settings. Start by clicking the three-dot menu icon at the top-right and choosing Settings from the drop-down menu.

Next, select Privacy and security.

Select Site Settings.

Scroll down to Content. Choose Pop-ups and redirects.

By default, pop-ups should be blocked. If they aren’t, just slide the switch to block them.

If there are certain sites you want to permit some pop-ups from, just click the add button next to allow.

Type in the name of the site you’d like to add and click Add.
