A reader had a question about the free LibreOffice Office Suite.
“Do you know if the Libre office suite works on the iPad too? I just recently saw your post on MS Office on iPad.”
Good news, there is an app based on LibreOffice that works for iPad. LibreOffice is maintained by Document Foundation and while they don’t put our the Android and iOS app based on LibreOffice, they do recommend the app by Collabora. Collabora is a certified developer that works with the foundation.
Like LibreOffice, Collabora offers a word processor, spreadsheet program, and presentation software. It will open and edit Microsoft Office files as well as create and edit files in the Open Document Format.
Just head to the app store for your device and look for Collabora Office.
