Construction of the Statue of Liberty

Welcome to another awesome exhibit at the Google Cultural Institute. This time I’m sharing the Construction of the Statue of Liberty with you.

This exhibit comes from the collection at the Musée des Arts et Métiers donated by the sculptor’s, Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, widow Jeanne Emilie Bartholdi in 1907.

The exhibit is easy to navigate. You just use your mouse wheel to scroll through the panels.

I love the combination of historical information combined with pictures, illustrations, and documents from the time period.

I’m particularly in love with all the close up photographs of Lady Liberty. There’s something magical about the close up detail of her face, hands, torch, and her feet.

Go check out this amazing collection for yourself today!
