If you’re running Windows 10 on an older, slower PC, here’s a tip that can help speed it up. Turning off animations and effects can help speed things up. Here’s how to do it.
Start by typing sysdm.cpl in the search box and pressing enter.

The System Properties menu will open.

Click the Advanced tab. Under Performance pick Settings.

You can choose to adjust for best performance.

That may turn off all animations. You can also go through and customize by turning certain animations off to see what works best for your PC. Make sure to apply the changes.
