If your PC is running a little slow, you find yourself using a lot of data, or you just want to take control of your privacy, I’ve got a tip for you. Check out which apps are running in the background.
Start by typing background apps into your search box and clicking on the result.
This window will open.
You can choose to turn off all background apps but I wouldn’t because you may want things like the clock, security, your camera, and the Microsoft Store still on.
Instead, I’m going to scroll down and switch them off individually. I know for sure that I don’t need Candy Crush Saga running. In fact, I found a lot of games were running in the background for no good reason.
If you switch something off and notice that your PC is acting wonky, you can always switch it back on.
