If your PC is freezing and crashing, you could have memory issues. Fortunately, Windows 10 has a built-in tool to diagnose memory problems. Here’s how to use it.
Type Windows Memory Diagnostic into your search box and click on the result.

Choose to check for memory problems now or when you restart your computer.

It will take a few minutes.

When the scan is finished, Windows will notify you of the results. Fortunately, I didn’t have an issue. If you have a problem, Windows will let you know.

I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic program. It said almost immediately that hardware problems had been detected and to contact the computer manager to identify and correct the problems,. When the scan completed, it said memory problems had been detected and to contact the computer manufacturer. Absolutely no information regarding the problems detected was provided.
I think this is a false positive. The computer is not evidencing any problems. It is a high-end laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon) which is a year old.
