I bet you can guess that I’m sharing this because of the nifty maps! Images A, B, and C depict how the travel rates changed over the development of the railway system in the United States.
Then you get an article with images of the construction, bridges, and use of trains in the United States.
This is followed up by Image D which shows what the state of the rails are as of 2013.
It’s interesting to see the time it takes to travel across the United States shrink from 5-6 weeks to 3 days.
