Windows 11 Will Run Android Apps… Eventually

One big change in Windows 11 will be good news for Android phone and tablet users. Windows 11 will allow you to run some Android apps on your PC.

That doesn’t mean the Play Store is coming to Windows. Microsoft Chief Product Officer Panos Panay explained, “They’re discoverable through the Microsoft store using the [built-in] Amazon App Store. And we use Intel bridge technology to bring it to life so it’s just seamless and smooth.”

Android apps won’t be available when Windows 11 is rolled out, Microsoft hasn’t announced an exact date or revealed exactly which apps will be available. However, screenshots of the new app store show Tik Tok, Kahn Academy, and Game of War apps.

Windows 11 began rolling out to consumers last week.
