Love for our Elders

Welcome to Love for our Elders! This a non-profit organization that collects anonymous letters of kindness from all around the world and distributes them to elderly people in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Created in 2014 by Jacob Cramer in order to bring love and kindness into the lives of the elderly. You can learn more about Cramer and the start of this project on the About page or by clicking the

You can write a letter by hand or online via the submission form. To learn more about how to submit a letter in either format click Write a Letter.

The Class Projects section lets you check out some examples of letters written via class projects. This is a great section for teachers to check out who are looking to add a community outreach requirement to their classes.

Examples offers a selection of letters that Love for the Elderly has received and sent along to find recipients.

The Photo Gallery was my favorite section. There you can see recipients receiving their letters and how touched they are by the effort.

If you work for or know of a facility that would like to be recipients of letters, you can apply to receive them by clicking Contact, and then filling out the form provided.

I think this is an excellent way to spread the love and was super proud that it originated here in Ohio.

  1. My grandma just purchased a new macbook to help her communicate with her friends and the rest of our family and lives in another state. Obviously, she is having a little bit of trouble with it. And she would really like to have some help. I am glad there are services out there that help the elderly with the tech tips. I’ll make sure I let my grandma know about this!
