When I was a kid in the late 70s and early 80s, I used to fall asleep listening to the CBS Radio Mystery Theater.  Later on, when I went to school to study communications, I became interested in the radio programs of the golden age of radio like The Shadow, Burns & Allen, The Green Hornet, and Jack Benny.

Thanks to a free app called Old Time Radio Player, you can enjoy these great programs for free on your Android phone or tablet.

Once you install the app, you can browse genres like Adventure, Comedy, Crime/Police, Detective, Drama, Mystery, Science Fiction, and Western.


Once you select a genre, you can browse the shows in that category.


Then select an episode.


Once you select an episode, playback is pretty straightforward with options to pause, FF, or rewind.
