One of the things that I’ve really gotten into while I’ve been gone is security and privacy for my personal online presence. Especially since the Equifax breach. One of the ways you can make your online data more secure is to use a password manager.
I’ve done a lot of research on password managers, and there are lot of great ones out there, but my current favorite is Dashlane 5. It has a slick, easy to use interface and the free version will protect your favorite device.
The free version gives you unlimited password and data storage on one device, monitoring services, breach alerts, unique password generation, the ability to change your passwords instantly.

To get started with Dashlane 5, click the Get Dashlane button at the top right.
You’ll be taken to the app store for your browser. Just follow the installation instructions. The next step is to create your free account.
If you have passwords saved in your browser, it will help you review them, and then you can import them into Dashlane with the click of a button! Then it walks you through adding it to your browser as an extension, and then shows you a tutorial on ways you can use it auto-fill forms securely, and generate strong password using Dashlane.
They also have a robust support section if you run into a situation where you need help!
All in all I think this is a great password manager, but don’t take my word for it check out this review on PC MAG, or the other reviews on the site.
What if dashlane gets hacked? Can the company give me a 100% guarantee that it will not be hacked? I personally believe a personal note book with my accounts and passwords are far safer than any online provider.
